Comfortable walking shoes - you will be doing a lot of walking there, so make sure to bring some comfortable shoes for everyday activities!
Traveler adapters - outlets in Europe differ from those in the US.
Cap / hat - during summer, the weather gets very hot, so it is best to have at least one hat or cap on you.
A bag that can be crossed over your body - there are a lot of pickpocketing incidents, so having a bag that is hard to steal is important.
Lightweight cardigan / lightweight dress or trousers - when visiting the Vatican, there is a dress code in place against sleeveless tops, crop tops, and short shorts for both men and women, so bringing something lightweight is needed for visiting religious sights.
Umbrella / a raincoat
