Arrivals ## Airport Pickup  ### What To Expect On arrival day, you will be met at the Rome Fiumicino/Leonardo da Vinci Airport ** **upon arrival between 8:30am and 3pm, and you’ll take a transfer to your housing.  After claiming luggage, exit the customs area and meet staff outside Terminal 3 *(Students arriving in Terminal 1 or 2, should proceed Terminal 3). *Look for the “Meeting Point sign” that is located in front of the passenger exit, on the Arrivals level.  AUR representatives will be waiting there holding a sign marked THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF ROME.  If you need assistance, please call or whatsapp +39 347 490 0929 (or call the office at +39 0658330919) or email c.lino@aur.edu.  Students arriving after this time frame or arriving independently will be expected to get to the University on their own during office hours (8:30AM-5:00PM).* *If you arrive after 3pm, we recommend reaching out to AUR directly at the numbers below. More than likely, you’ll need to take a taxi.  *NOTE: Students arriving in Rome outside office hours will have to make a hotel booking for that evening and then contact the University the next day. * *NOTE: Students arriving in Terminal 1, 2, 5 should proceed to Terminal 3.* *NOTE: Students arriving at Rome’s “second” airport, Ciampino, will need to arrange for their own transit to the university. * ## **WHAT TO DO IF: ***The unexpected happens* ### **YOU MISS A FLIGHT OR HAVE A DELAY** If you miss your flight or a connection, do not panic! First, go to the ticket counter for the airline that issued your ticket to make the next available flight arrangements. If you miss a flight or there is a flight delay, reach out to the AUR via whatsapp +39 347 490 0929 (or call the office at +39 0658330919) or email c.lino@aur.edu.  ### **YOUR LUGGAGE GETS LOST** Your bags may decide to take a later flight, don’t panic. If the airline loses your luggage, you must file a report with the airline **while you are still in the baggage area.** It is much more difficult to file this report once you’ve left the baggage claim area. You will need to provide them with: - NAME (you can give your name) - PHONE #: (give them AUR's number: 06 5833 0919) - Address:  The American University of Rome Via Pietro Roselli 400153, Roma RN, Italia Your luggage will most likely be delivered from the airport in the next few days. ## **Early Arrivals** If you arrive before your program start date, you are responsible for yourself until the day the program begins. This includes your transportation, housing, meals and safety.
